Blood- Blood, every where. Tons of it. Some was hers, but that was not what the she-cat was concerned about. Blood was on her paws, her brother before her. Although she knew it was her brother, it was just a pitch black figure. As if... As if she was staring into a black hole. Blood spilled around the body. She looked over to the cat that had killed her brother. She didn't care if he was just protecting his clan. She knew him as a murderer.
Instead of avenging her brother, the now cowardly she-cat sought to flee. She turned, trying to run from the fate that her brother had gotten. It was my fault. A voice boomed, one that she knew was her own. It was all my fault..
But as she ran faster and faster, the world around her seemed to fade away, to disappear. She could now see herself, running from the fate. But... Not moving. Instead she was being sucked into her brother's body. Now blood was all around her. She was drowning in it, the thick liquid filling her nose, eyes, mouth and ears. She choked on it, trying to swim to the surface but only sinking into the abyss.
Berrycloud woke with a start. She breathed heavily for a moment, then checking her paws. No blood. With a sigh of relief, she got up to stretch, trying to push the dream and flash back away.
She realized she wasn't in the warriors den, but in the clearing. Must have fell asleep under the shade.
She yawned, looking at the fresh kill pile. "Can never have too much fresh kill." She mewed. Walking toward the entrance, she hesitated. She was not going alone. "Does anyone want to join me on a hunting patrol?"
