Ah, so you've come across DarkClan. Well, you won't live long if you don't join. However, first you should know a few things. Before you join DarkClan, you must have read this information, because we don't run on the same principles the Clans do.

1: Viper
Viper is the Master of DarkClan. He is fiercely protective of his group as long as they do their share of work. Viper is not one to be crossed, and he will humiliate and harm any cat who does. He expects absolute obedience and effort from each cat under his care.
Viper can be a very violent cat, and being a genius doesn't help. He is a master of punishment, fighting, and leading. He usually gets group members from the ranks of rogues and loners but Viper is not above stealing Clan kits. He is a medium size, dusty brown tom with dark, unreadable eyes. He also has a reputation for taking prisoners from battles or those he finds in his tunnels. Rumors rurun rampant about what he does to them.
2: Home
The tunnels that DarkClan call home were originally rabbit tunnels. They run under the moor in a twisted web. DarkClan expanded them, remodeled them, took the ooveover and are now the only cats who can navigate them. Almost any other cat who tries will be found or, if they are lucky, they will die in the darkness. DarkClan cats must have excellent night vision in the tunnels but in the biggest cave where the Master, the Healer, and the Workers sleep is dimly lit through holes in the ceiling. Branching off of that, two smaller caves and a tunnel lead to their respective locations. A medium sized cave is inhabited by the Queens and Kits. The smallest is inhabited by Trainees. The tunnel off of the main cave leads to the dungeons. Here, prisoners are kept. Past that, all manner of tunnels branch off of the cave into inky darkness.
3: Hierarchy
Master: The Master is the equivalent of a Clan's leader. The password is 'No one can hear you scream.' The Master is currently Viper. He has no form of deputy and sleeps by himself in the Main Cave.
Healer: The equivalent of a Clan's medicine cat. DarkClan has no belief in StarClan, so the Healer only uses herbs. If you must have a deputy, it would alalso be the Healer. The Healer is Viper's advisor, even though Viper still has ultimate power over everything.
Worker: The equivalent of a Clan's warrior. Workers are all male and are responsible for training Trainees, fighting, and hunting to provide for themselves, the Healer, and the Master.
Trainee: The equivalent of a Clan's apprentice. Trainees are all male. They live in their own cave and Viper believes in survival of the fittest. Therefore, Trainees are left to fight and kill each other for what little food they get. The survival rate is about one out of three. No one knows how this system works, though it is probably because the Queens produce so many Kits. Trainees, when they are not in their cave, also known as the Pit, are trained like apprentices. A specific Worker teaches them hunting and fighting.
Kits: Cats younger than seven moons. Kits are cared for by all of the Queens until they are old enenough to become Trainees. Kits can be male or female but only the male ones become trainees. The females become:
Queens: The lowest of the low, any female older then seven moons is considered a queen. Queens do not mate with a Worker like in the Clans. Instead, Workers can father kits with whatever queen they want to and Queens cannot resist. Horrible right? Whichever Queens arare not currently pregnant must provide for all other queens and kits. Queens have no rights, except to ask Viper to leave the Clan. This right, lovingly called the Right to Escape, means that any Queen can go and beg the Master to be allowed to escape the Clan. Some cats realize this, other don't, but that escape comes in the form of death. Viper kills a Queen to allow her escape from his rule. No Queen ever leaves DarkClan alive.
